AssetWorks Wayne Office Chili Cook-off

The Philadelphia region is known for its food, like cheesesteaks, soft pretzels and “wudder” ice. On Friday March 24th, everyone in the AssetWorks Fleet headquarters in Wayne, PA combined their love of food with their love of community service. They hosted a chili cook-off in the office, all while collecting donations for a great cause.

In a few short weeks, members of the Wayne office will participate in Villanova University’s Relay for Life event, benefiting the American Cancer Society. After the cook-off, Team AssetWorks achieved over half of its fundraising goal!

The chili chefs: Colleen Boutcher, Rick Sysol, Kevin Connolly, Maryellen Kennedy, Cary Lambert, David Weigel, Bob Ricks, Mike Ellis, Krystin Blakemore and Michael Carter.

These ten chefs competed for two prizes: Most Unique Chili and Best Overall Chili.

The judging took place during lunch hour, with dozens of AssetWork’ers sampling each recipe.

Each chef went all out with their recipe. Kevin Connolly showed off his Irish heritage with his Guinness chili, David Weigel turned heads with his dark chocolate chili and Rick Sysol impressed with his two crock pots worth of smokey bacon chili.

Without further ado, the winners of the Wayne office Chili Cook-Off are:

MOST UNIQUE CHILI: Colleen Boutcher (Spicy buffalo chicken chili)

BEST OVERALL CHILI: Krystin Blakemore (Hearty vegetarian chili)

Congratulations to the winners!
