Last year the US government declared a record breaking number of disasters. From hurricanes to floods, and earthquakes to wildfires, catastrophes causing damage in excess of $1 billion swept the nation. Unfortunately, with a rising number of catastrophes and claims often comes rising insurance rates.
With decades of experience in the property insurance appraisal industry, AssetWorks encourages organizations of all sizes to maintain accurate, detailed information regarding exposure to risk. The collection of primary and secondary C.O.P.E. data provides organizations with a complete snapshot of their risk exposure, allowing them to differentiate their risk profile with underwriters.
WHAT IS COPE DATA?
Primary C.O.P.E. data includes characteristics such as type of construction used throughout the building, square footage, number of stories, fire protection and location. In addition to the collection of more detailed building information, secondary C.O.P.E. data characteristics relate to the building’s susceptibility to damage from windstorms or seismic activity.
